FDA clears 6 new Fujifilm endoscopic solutions — 3 insights

The FDA cleared six new Fujifilm Medical Systems, U.S.A. endoscopic products.

What you should know:

1. The new products are:

  • ED-580XT duodenoscope
  • EI-580BT short double balloon endoscope 
  • EC-760P colonoscope
  • EC-760S colonoscope
  • EG-760CT gastroscope
  • EG-740N gastroscope

2. Fujifilm launched the duodenoscope already, while the other devices will launch before the end of 2019.

3. The company said each scope expanded the company’s core gastroenterology and interventional endoscopy line.

Fujifilm Medical General Manager Taisuke Fujita declared that the clearances were important milestones for the company. He added, “As a company with many ‘firsts’ in the endoscopy space, our goal is to always stay a step ahead, anticipate clinician needs and continue to advance the field.”
