EndoFresh’s disposable endoscopy system greenlighted by FDA

EndoFresh’s disposable digestive endoscopy system received 510(k) clearance from the FDA, the company announced May 24.

The system has a camera system with a disposable upper GI endoscope and colonoscope. The device’s approval comes following reports by the FDA on cross contamination risks associated with urological endoscopes and duodenoscopes.

EndoFresh is based in China and was founded in 2014.
