EndoChoice Purchases Atlanta Pathology Lab

Alpharetta, Ga.-based EndoChoice, a designer and seller of gastrointestinal endoscopy products, has purchased Atlanta-based Pathworks Anatomic Pathology Laboratory, according to a report in the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

Robert Smith, MD, founder of Pathworks, will take over as medical director for the new lab, renamed EndoChoice Pathology, according to the report. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
