Dude, where’s my colon? — Colon Cancer Coalition’s inflatable colon stolen

The Colon Cancer Coalition’s giant, inflatable colon was stolen from a parked pickup truck, KMBC 9 News reports.

Here’s what you should know:

1. The truck was parked at Kansas City-based University of Kansas Cancer Center with the colon in its bed.

2. The colon was supposed to go to the Sisters Living Beyond Breast Cancer 5K Relay Walk on Oct. 20.

3. The organization said the colon is worth $4,000.

4. University of Kansas Cancer Center surgical oncologist John Ashcraft, MD, said, “Colon cancer is a tough subject for many to talk about, and the giant, 150 pound, 10-foot long inflatable colon is a great conversation starter.”
