1. After earning her medical degree from Manila, Philippines-based University of Santo Tomas, Dr. Pua completed a residency at Galveston-based University of Texas Medical Branch Hospitals and a fellowship at University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.
2. She practiced at Des Moines-based UnityPoint Health-Iowa Lutheran Hospital before accepting the position in California.
3. Dr. Pua is a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and American Gastroenterological Association.
4. She is board certified in gastroenterology.
