Dr. David Boss participating in ‘mini-medical school’ for local students — 4 insights

Gastroenterologist David Boss, MD, and other physicians are partaking in the Lakewood, N.J.-based Georgian Court University in the mini-medical school speaker series, TheSandPaper.net reports.

1. Physicians from Edison, N.J.-based Hackensack Meridian Health are participating in the series organized by David Kountz, MD, and GCU’s Dean of Art and Sciences Mary Chinery.

2. Dr. Boss earned his medical degree from Boston-based University of Massachusetts Medical School. He completed a residency and fellowship at Providence, R.I.-based Brown University.

3. Dr. Kountz organized a similar program at Stafford Township, N.J.-based Southern Regional High School.

4. Dr. Kountz said about the programs, “We will be educating students regarding the opportunities in healthcare, helping them better prepare in high school for a profession like medicine, understanding that healthcare is a service profession and what they can do at this stage of their lives regarding volunteering.”
