Covidien Expands AGA Corporate Grant for Gastroenterology Research

The American Gastroenterological Association has announced that healthcare products provider Covidien has expanded its corporate grant to the AGA Institute.

The expansion of the grant will support a new award, the AGA-Covidien Research and Development Pilot Award in Technology. The award will be given by the AGA Research Foundation for the research and development of new devices and improvements to existing technology in the field of gastroenterology. This award will include a total of four recipients.

The grant continues to support the AGA Center for GI Innovation and Technology, AGA’s annual technology summit and AGA Research Foundation’s Corporate Roundtable.

The grant was initiated in January 2012.
