ASGE recognizes Ohio surgery center — 4 insights

The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy recognized Springfield (Ohio) Regional Outpatient Center for its work promoting endoscopy, the Springfield News-Sun reports.

1. The center is the only one in Springfield or Dayton, Ohio, to earn the recognition.

2. Gastroenterologist Alan Gabbard, MD, said to the News-Sun the honor shows how the center is taking "extra steps to ensure quality care."

3. The center applied for the recognition after six months of data gathering.
