ASGE recognizes Eaton Hospital for quality and safety: 4 things to know

As part of a program to promote safety and quality in endoscopy, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy recognized Eaton, Pa.-based Eaton Hospital Digestive Health Center, according to The Morning Call.

Here are four things to know about the ASGE Endoscopy Unit Recognition Program and the center:

1. The center is one of over 450 endoscopy unites that have been recognized by ASGE’s program since 2009.

2. The recognition symbolizes a facility’s commitment to patient safety and quality under measures including patient assessment, adequacy of bowel preparation, cecal intubation rates, adenoma detection rates and adverse event tracking.

3. Services at the center include endoscopy, colonoscopy, flex-sigmoidoscopy and ileoscopy.

4. Eaton Hospital Digestive Health Center is comprised of five physicians who specialize in digestive health disorders and treatment.
