Valeant Pharmaceuticals International has won the bidding war for Salix Pharmaceuticals. The company upped its bid by approximately a billion dollars to win out against competing bidder Endo International, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal.
Swallow Solutions raised $1.1 million in a funding round led by Wisconsin Super Angel Fund. The funding will serve to support the sales efforts for the company’s swallowing disorders device. Thus far, the company has raised $3.2 million from investors.
