Abington Memorial Hospital Opens Center for Advanced Gastrointestinal Surgery

Abington (Pa.) Memorial Hospital opened its Center for Advanced Gastrointestinal Surgery in March, according to a Montgomery Media report.

Kenric Murayama, MD, chairman of the hospital’s department of surgery, established the center. He recruited a total of six surgeons.

The center aims to bring together surgical services for both malignant and non-malignant GI issues. The surgeons focus on using minimally invasive techniques.
