Here are four gastroenterologists who made headlines within the past week or so.

SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, N.Y., added Divey Manocha, MBBS, to its physician team.

Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, N.Y., appointed gastroenterologist Paul Mustacchia, MD, as chairman of the department of medicine.

Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach, Fla., added gastroenterologist Ashley Canipe, MD, to its physician team.

Sohail Shaikh, MD, with the Center for Bariatric Endoscopy in Mont Clair, N.J., became the first gastroenterologist to perform the Intragastric Balloon procedure in the Northeastern United States.
