16 GI physicians making headlines – June 26, 2015

Here are 16 gastroenterologists who were featured in the news within the past week.

Board-certified gastroenterologist Kenneth Brown, MD, developed Atrantil, a plant-based nutraceutical designed to relieve bloating, abdominal discomfort and constipation.

The publisher Continental Who’s Who among Pinnacle Professionals recognized gastroenterologist Veryl Hodges, DO, in the field of healthcare.

EndoGastric Solutions, a developer of an incisionless procedure for gastroesophageal reflux disease, appointed three new members to its executive team, including Adrian Lobontiu, MD, FACS, as medical director.

The American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy named its board members for 2015 to 2016:

•    Douglas O. Faigel, MD, FASGE, will now serve as president through May 2016.
