Valdosta, Ga.-based SGMC Health has added Daniel Sohinki, MD, a cardiac electrophysiologist, to its cardiovascular team. He will see patients at SGMC Cardiac Electrophysiology and specialize in complex heart rhythm disorders, according to an Aug. 11 system release.
Dr. Sohinki earned his medical degree from the Iowa City-based University of Iowa and completed his residency at Dallas-based UT Southwestern Medical Center and fellowship at Oklahoma City-based University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He has expertise in catheter ablation, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation and lead extraction.
He is also a former associate professor at the Augusta-based Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Sohinki’s patient-centered approach is shaped by his own experience with congenital heart disease and open-heart surgery as a child, according to the release.
