The Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine has reprimanded the license of James Arcoleo, MD, a cardiovascular disease specialist, citing his failure to file a mandated report and conduct undermining public confidence in the profession.

Dr. Arcoleo, who has been licensed in Massachusetts since 1998, agreed to a consent order that includes a $20,000 fine and completion of continuing medical education requirements, according to a Sept. 26 WWLP report.

He practices in Greenfield, Springfield and Northampton.

The board said the disciplinary action reflects its commitment to maintaining professional standards and safeguarding public trust in the medical system, according to the report.
