Greenville, N.C.-based ECU Health has launched a telecardiology program in Edenton, N.C., to expand access to care.

The program connects in-person patients at the ECU Health Chowan Hospital’s outpatient specialty clinic in Edenton, N.C., with Sivakumar Ardhanari, MD, a cardiologist with ECU Health in Greenville, N.C., according to a March 13 news release.

Dr. Ardhanari evaluates patients remotely using a telemedicine system that includes audio and video capabilities and a digital stethoscope.

Christopher Gregory, MD, and Christopher Karkut, MD, will continue to provide cardiology services in the ECU Health Chowan Hospital twice weekly, the release said.
