Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center opens 6th cardiac cath lab

Livingston, N.J.-based Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, part of West Orange, N.J.-based RWJBarnabas Health, has opened its sixth cardiac catheterization lab to expand cardiovascular care capacity. 

The new lab features the Philips Azurion 20 image-guided therapy system, designed to improve precision and safety while reducing procedure times and radiation exposure, according to an Aug. 22 health system news release. It supports services including emergency and elective catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions, electrophysiology procedures, ablations and device implants.
