Medacta helps hospitals and surgeons go 'all in' on outpatient orthopedics: 3 notes

As outpatient orthopedic procedures continue to increase, San Diego-based Medacta has reengineered its joint and spine surgery platforms for outpatient and same-day surgery facilities.

Here's what you should know.

1. The company's same day surgery initiative pairs hip, knee and spine products with a suite of software programs aimed at ASCs.

2. The program is four steps that trains all center providers, administrators and aides. Medacta trains all eligible parties on topics like: patient selection, anesthesia use, patient monitoring and operating protocol.

3. Medacta will present its products and resources at the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons Annual Meeting in San Diego, March 14 to March 18, 2017.
