Tri-State Specialists to build $37M, 50,000-sq-ft surgery center — 4 insights

Tri-State Specialists will break ground on its $37 million Riverview Surgical Center in late November, the Sioux City Journal reports. Both organizations are based in South Sioux City, Neb.

Here’s what you should know:

1. Developers anticipate work will take between 11 and 12 months to complete.

2. The 50,000-square-foot structure will offer patients orthopedic, gastrointestinal, plastic surgery, OB-GYN and ENT services.

3. The surgery centers will be two floors. The bottom floor will have four operating rooms, four recovery rooms and preoperative and postoperative surgery rooms. The top floor will feature physician offices.

4. The surgery center partnered with a nearby Marriott hotel to offer patients overnight stays. The patients can have family members stay with them and they’ll be visited by physicians and physical therapists, if needed.
