Tift Regional Medical Center planning new medical center with 3 ASC suites — 4 key notes

Adel, Ga., will be home to the new Cook Medical Center, WFXL reports. The new facility replaces the old hospital which closed in January 2017, because of outdated outpatient facilities.

Here’s what you should know:

1. Tifton, Ga.-based Tift Regional Medical Center is constructing a 100,000-square-foot center in Adel to replace the facility.

2. The new center will have three ASC suites, 20 inpatient beds and a 95-bed nursing home.

3. Hospital planners expect to break ground in December 2017, with construction starting in early 2018.

4. Cook Medical Center CEO Michael Purvis said to WFXL, the health center would have “state of the art” facilities.
