1. Mr. Byrnes is the former chairman and CEO of Lincare Holdings, based in Chicago.
2. Mr. Wilver serves as the executive vice president and chief administrative officer of Waltham, Mass.-based Thermo Fisher Scientific.
3. With the two additions, Tenet’s board features 14 directors. Of these, 13 directors are independent of Tenet.
4. Both Mr. Byrnes and Mr. Wilver will serve on the company’s audit committee, with Mr. Byrnes also being a member of Tenet’s nominating and corporate governance committee. Mr. Wilver will serve on Tenet’s human resources committee.
