Shriners, UK Health to build $47M ambulatory care center

Shriners Hospital for Children and UK Healthcare, both in Lexington, Ky., have announced plans to build a new ambulatory care center across from the University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital campus.

The center will be owned and operated by Shriners Hospitals for Children and will be “designed to better meet the orthopedic needs of children and their families well into the future.”

The new center will cost $47M, and construction is scheduled to begin in 2015 and last approximately two years.
