SCA partners with The Surgery Center at Doral; Tenet shares fall 0.5% & more — 5 key notes

Here are five updates on ASC management companies to note.

Deerfield, Ill.-based Surgical Care Affiliates entered into a partnership with The Surgery Center at Doral (Fla.). The Surgery Center at Doral includes 10 physicians focused on orthopedics, podiatry, spine, pain management and general surgery.

Colorado-based Envision Healthcare and Nashville, Tenn.-based AmSurg executives rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Dec. 8, 2016. President and CEO Chris Holden and Executive Chairman of the Board Bill Sanger rang the bell alongside other senior leaders of the company.

During the week of Dec. 5 to Dec. 9, 2016, Nashville-based Hospital Corporation of America shares rallied 4.2 percent, trading at $73.25 per share.

New York-based Frontier Healthcare partnered with ASMC physician group to open a new ASC in New York City. The multispecialty ASC opened on Dec. 5, 2016 with specialties including gastroenterology, orthopedics and pain management.

Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare shares fell 0.5 percent, trading at $15.18 per share.
