Texas County Memorial Hospital to open $990.5k ASC; receives $150k grant — 6 things to know

Delta Region Authority provided Houston-based Texas County Memorial Hospital $150,000 to open a new surgery center, according to West Plains Daily Quill.

Here are six things to know:

1. The surgery center will be 6,000 square feet.

2. TCMH’s board unanimously agreed to accept the grant during a meeting in November 2016.

3. The board will use the grant to complete infill for the ASC’s surgery department.

4. The surgery center will include two operating rooms, an endoscopy suite and seven private rooms for presurgical preparation and postsurgery recovery.

5. TCMH expects to spend $990,500 on the surgery center.

6. At the end of October 2015, TCMH had a negative bottom line totaling $46,999.66 and a year-to-date negative balance of $1,032,745.43, West Plains Daily Quill reports.
