Proposed Maryland Eye Surgery Center Receives $3.5M Stimulus Bond

A proposed eye center in Maryland, which includes an ambulatory surgery center, was approved for a $3.5 million bond as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, according to a report in The Herald-Mail.

The eye center is part of a construction project near Hagerstown (Md.) Regional Airport. The total project was approved for $11.95 million in tax-exempt bonds, according to the report.

The new eye center will include a one-operating room ASC, 14 exam rooms, one procedure room and an optic shop, according to the report.
