Pennsylvania health system inks deal to acquire Coordinated Health assets, including ASC

Lehigh Valley Health Network plans to acquire the assets of Coordinated Health, pending regulatory approval, the Pocono Record reports.

LVHN signed a binding letter of intent to make the acquisition, furthering its commitment to providing orthopedic and specialty care, according to CEO Brian Nester.

The deal is pending review by the Federal Trade Commission and the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office.

LVHN operates a hospital in East Stroudsburg, Pa., as well as multiple ExpressCARE branches throughout Monroe County. Coordinated Health also runs multiple facilities in the area, including an ASC in East Stroudsburg.

Coordinated Health's East Stroudsburg ASC offers orthopedic and general outpatient procedures.

Both health systems are based in Allentown, Pa.
