Ohio Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center Partners With Camden Clark Medical Center

Ohio Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center in Belpre, Ohio, has joined with the Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, according to a Marietta Times report.

Camden Clark has acquired a majority interest in the surgery center, which will remain an independent operation and not become a department of the hospital. Tracey Hood, RN, CASC, the current administrator, will remain the facility's manager and report to a board of managers comprised of David Mendoza, MD, Abdi Ghodsi, MD, Adam Kaplan, MD, Mike King, Allen Butcher and David McClure.

The joint venture was completed June 1 and is effective immediately. The surgery center, which opened in January 2008, works with 11 physician owners in a variety of specialties, including urology, orthopedics, neurosurgery, pain management, general surgery and gastroenterology. According to Ms. Hood, the center has seen about 18,000 patients since it opened.
