New North Carolina Joint-Venture Surgery Center Planned by Southeastern Regional Medical Center

Southeastern Regional Medical Center, based in Lumberton, N.C., is planning a new joint-venture ambulatory surgery center, according to a news release on the hospital’s outlook from Fitch Ratings.

SRMC management is planning for the ASC, the hospital’s “highest priority capital project,” to be a joint venture with surgeons, according to the release. The hospital sees the joint venture opportunity as a way to increase physician alignment.

 

The standalone ASC is expected to cost approximately $27 million.
