New Arkansas Orthopedic Surgery Center Coming to Fort Smith

St. Edward Mercy Health System, based in Fort Smith, Ark., and a member of St. Louis-based Sisters of Mercy, plans to open a new orthopedic surgery center in Fort Smith, according to a The City Wire report.

The surgery center is to be built in the space previously occupied by the River Valley Musculoskeletal Center, St. Edward Mercy Health System acquired in February. RVMC included an ambulatory surgery center, as well as a medical office building and imaging services.

 

Mercy hopes the new center will open during the first half of 2014, according to the report.
