NC surgery center asks to transfer operating rooms: 5 key notes

Charlotte Surgery Center along with Carolinas HealthCare System are posing an operating room transfer, according to the Charlotte Observer.

Here are five key notes:

1. The ASC would like to move six operating rooms to Randolph Surgery Center.

2. The transfer would cost $13.9 million.

3. The state is currently reviewing the request and comments are accepted through Dec. 1

4. Tom Lally is Charlotte Surgery Center’s CEO and Roy Majors, MD, is the medical director.

5. Procedures at Charlotte Surgery Center include gynecology, orthopedic surgery, pain management, ophthalmology, urology and podiatry.
