MD Anderson opening 260,000-sq.ft. outpatient center — 4 insights

Houston-based MD Anderson Cancer Center is developing a 260,000-square-foot outpatient center in Katy, Texas, Community Impact reports.

What you should know:

1. MD Anderson has an existing care center in Katy. When its new outpatient center is complete, MD Anderson will relocate the existing center’s medical, radiation and surgical oncology services into the care center.

2. The care center will also offer endoscopy, cardiopulmonary and post-anesthesia care.

3. MD Anderson will relocate the diagnostic and imaging services its West Houston location offers into the care center as well.

4. The care center could open as soon as summer 2019.
