Alexandria-based Louisiana Eye & Laser opened a location in Monroe (La.) to expand its reach into northern Louisiana.
Here's what you should know:
1. John Cooksey, MD, and Richard Apt, MD, are joining the practice and will see patients exclusively in Monroe.
2. Dr. Cooksey earned his medical degree from New Orleans-based Louisiana State University. He completed an internship at Shreveport, La.-based Confederate Memorial Medical Center and a residency at Jefferson, La.-based Ochsner Medical Center.
3. Dr. Abt earned his medical degree from University of California Irvine School of Medicine. He completed an internship at Los Angeles-based University of Southern California and a residency at Ochsner Medical Center.
