HCA acquires 4 acute care hospitals from Tenet — 3 key notes

HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division acquired three acute care hospitals and one long-term acute care hospital from Tenet Healthcare.

Here’s what you should know:

1. HCA acquired Houston Northwest Medical Center, Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center Hospital, Park Plaza Hospital and Plaza Specialty Hospital, all in Houston.

2. HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division President Tony Villarreal said in a release the acquisitions would improve access to emergency and trauma, women’s health, cardiac and bariatric medicine in the region.

3. HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast manages 15 community hospitals in the area. The division also operates nine ASCs.
