Dr. Robert Burakoff tapped for ambulatory, gastroenterology leadership roles — 4 key notes

New York City-based NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center tapped Robert Burakoff for a pair of leadership roles.

Here’s what you should know:

1. Dr. Burakoff will serve as vice chair for ambulatory services for the Weill Department of Medicine.

2. He will also serve as gastroenterology division site chief at NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital and Weill Cornell Medicine, both in New York City.

3. Dr. Burakoff began the positions Aug. 1.

4. He most recently served at Boston-based Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He was the gastroenterology division’s clinical chief and the Center for Digestive Health’s director.
