Georgia CON Stalls WellStar’s Freestanding Emergency Department

WellStar Health System’s proposed freestanding emergency department in Holly Springs, Ga., will be the first of its kind in that area, but is currently on hold with the state due to a lack of precedent for certificate of need approval, according to a Ledger-News report.

The Holly Springs Planning and Zoning Commission is expected to once again consider zoning for the project at the end of February.
