Franciscan Surgery Center allows 8 surgeons to invest in center through equity offering: 3 points

Indianapolis-based Franciscan Surgery Center, an affiliate of Mishawaka, Ind.-based Franciscan Health, issued an equity offering to eight surgeons, according to Indianapolis Business Journal.

Here are three points:

1. The offering set the minimum investment at $175,000.

2. Through the offering, the ASC aims to raise $2.7 million.

3. Franciscan Surgery Center performed 14,899 procedures in 2016, up nearly 60 percent from 2011. Of this total, 1,134 were ear tube operations, 1,134 were cataract surgeries and 967 were colonoscopies.
