FSA acquired the interest and management rights formerly held by Surgical Synergies.
The four facilities included in the acquisition are
- Metropolitan Medical Partners (Chevy Chase, Md.)
- Cumberland Valley Surgery Center (Hagerstown, Md.)
- Frederick Surgical Center (Frederick, Md.)
- Perkins Plaza Ambulatory Surgery Center (Baton Rouge, La.)
“We are thrilled and privileged to have the opportunity to partner with these four groups of outstanding physicians,” says FSA President Jon Friesen, in a news release. “Foundation’s investment in these surgery centers will allow the physicians to focus on clinical excellence while leveraging FSA’s infrastructure, buying power and support services. This is another landmark event in our effort to expand our services to more physicians and surgery centers across the country.”
The acquisition increases FSA’s network to 18 ASCs, with a management and equity position in 14 of them.
