1. Community Health Systems sold the Spartanburg and Gaffney, S.C.-based branches of Mary Black Health System, as well as their physician clinics and outpatient service businesses.
2. The sale was effective Jan. 1.
3. Community Health Systems is including the sale in its third quarter 2018 earnings call. Community will continue to operate four hospitals in South Carolina.
