Columbus Regional Health Physicians purchase former GI practice for $600K — 3 insights

Columbus (Ind.) Regional Health Physicians purchased the building housing New Albany-based Southern Indiana Gastroenterology's former practice for $600,000 March 1, The Republic reports.

What you should know:

1. The health system purchased the building as part of its strategic plan to expand services.

2. Columbus Regional Health has not yet determined what services it'll offer in the building. Officials are developing a business plan for the building and land site to be finalized at the beginning of April.

3. Ottawa Holdings owned the building prior to its sale.
