The two ASCs should be consolidated by Dec. 3. Christus will renovate and expand services in Physician Ambulatory Surgery Center-Alamo Heights II by adding four operating rooms and three procedure rooms. The center will primarily offer outpatient surgery and will have 10 operating rooms, five procedure rooms, a pain clinic, a privately owned pharmacy and an outpatient imaging center after expansion.
Christus announced in October that Physician Ambulatory Surgery Center-Alamo Heights I will house its new $25 million surgical hospital, scheduled to be fully operational in Jan. 2012.
