The physicians — Gary Kronen, MD, and Anton Fakhouri, MD, FICS, FACS — need state approval to build the proposed $2.4 million ambulatory surgery center. The ASC would specialize in hand and upper extremity procedures.

Drs. Kronen and Fakhouri operate MidAmerica Hand to Shoulder Clinic, which has locations in Palos Hills, Lockport, Oakbrook Terrace, Schaumburg and Libertyville, according to the Clinic’s website. If approved, the ASC would be located in the same building as the Palos Hills clinic.
