Effective July 1, the agreement between Crane Creek Surgery Center and Blue Chip stipulates that the physicians retain a 75 percent ownership stake in the ASC.
“We are confident that our new partnership with Blue Chip will help us grow our business as we strive to set the standard for outpatient spine care,” said spine surgeon Richard A. Hynes, MD, FACS, who also serves as president of Crane Creek Surgery Center, according to Blue Chip.
Crane Creek is a multi-specialty surgical center performing procedures in orthopedics, pain, spine, ENT, general surgery, podiatry and urology.
“We are honored and excited to collaborate with such a respected group of surgeons,” said Kathleen Whitlow, chief operations officer for Blue Chip, according to the company. “With a new business plan and strong operational model tailored to the center’s unique needs and market, Crane Creek can now optimize its financial performance to match its clinical leadership.”
The 14,000-square foot facility opened in Oct. 2009 and features four ORs. The ASC sees about 4,000 patients annually.
