An Ascension-affiliated clinic in Pawhuska, Okla. will close June 30, raising concerns about access to care in the Osage County community, KJRH reported March 31.

The closure leaves Pawhuska with one remaining clinic, according to the report. The local hospital is also currently down a provider.

Ascension told the publication it will contact patients to coordinate the transfer of care and ensure a seamless transition.

“We’d like to thank Dr. Priest and his staff for their many years of dedicated service to the health of our community. Our priority is to ensure a seamless transition for patients with no disruption in care. We will be contacting patients in the near future to coordinate the transfer of care to a new provider,” the statement said.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
