6 recent ASC acquisitions & partnerships — February 2019

Here are six ASC acquisitions and partnerships announced in February 2019:

Germantown, Tenn.-based West Cancer Center purchased a building previously owned by Memphis, Tenn.-based Methodist Le Bonheur — which includes a surgery center — after the groups ended their operating partnership.

Belleville (Ill.) Surgical Center is seeking state permission to sell its two surgery centers in response to declining patient volumes. Belleville Surgical Center closed Physicians' Surgical Center and Belleville Surgical Center in mid-2018.

Towson, Md.-based SurgCenter Development formed its 200th ASC partnership with SurgCenter of Clearwater (Fla.).

Healthcare Realty Trust acquired $37 million in properties in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2018, including a $5.1 million surgery center suite.

Tempe, Ariz.-based American Vision Partners created Visage Aesthetics & Plastic Surgery, an oculofacial center brand that can be established in multispecialty ophthalmology practices.

With locations in Little Rock and Bryant, Arkansas Maxillofacial Surgery Center joined the Sarasota, Fla.-based Dental Care Alliance.
