4 outpatient ORs in the works for Mohawk Valley Health System hospital: 3 quick facts

Utica, N.Y.-based Mohawk Valley Health System’s plans for a new hospital include four operating rooms for outpatient surgery, the Observer-Dispatch reports.

Here are three quick facts:

1. The operating rooms could be housed in an ASC, on Mohawk’s Utica-based Faxton Campus or at another location. The Faxton Campus formerly offered outpatient surgery.

2. Mohawk also plans to add 14 ORs in the hospital to handle inpatient surgeries.

3. The new hospital will have fewer patient beds and operating rooms than the health system’s other campuses.
