3 new joint venture ASCs — November 2015

Here are three new joint venture ASCs announced or opened in the past month.

Roanoke Valley Center for Sight teamed with Vistar Eye Center to break ground on a new outpatient surgery center. The ASC will offer facial cosmetic, oculoplastic and retina surgery.

The 13 physicians of Surgery Center of Athens (Ga.) have formed a new partnership with Surgical Care Affiliates. The partnership went into effect Dec. 1.

The much-contested joint venture surgery center project planned for Orchard Park, N.Y., has received final approval from the New York State Department of Health. The surgery center is a joint venture between Buffalo, N.Y.-based Kaleida Health, a group of physicians and the University at Buffalo School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences.
