Physicians open freestanding EPIC Heart & Surgery Center in Kansas: 4 things to know

Six physicians with Heartland Cardiology, based in Wichita, Kan., have opened a new, cardiology-focused surgery center, according to a Wichita Business Journal report.

Here are four things to know about the new center.

1. The 8,000-square-foot EPIC Heart & Surgery Center is located in Wichita.

2. The center also houses a cardiac catheterization lab.

3. EPIC stands for “Electrophysiology and Interventional Cardiology,” according to the report.

4. Ravi Bajaj, MD, with Heartland Cardiology, serves as medical director of the surgery center.
