Three physician group deals are reshaping Florida’s healthcare landscape, spanning concierge medicine, orthopedic urgent care and a large multispecialty practice.
Here are the three deals:
1. Private equity firm Revelstoke Capital Partners acquired Griffin Concierge Medical, a physician-owned, membership-based practice in Tampa, Fla. Founded in 2008, Griffin Concierge Medical is a multisite provider offering preventive screenings, advanced diagnostics, urgent care, hormone optimization, weight management, nutritional counseling, travel medicine and hospital coordination services.
2. Alejandro Badia, MD, orthopedic surgeon and founder of Miami-based OrthoNOW, partnered with Redwood Growth Partners. The collaboration with the investment and advisory firm is expected to accelerate OrthoNOW’s growth, with plans to expand into a network of more than 10 clinics. Founded 14 years ago, OrthoNOW was one of Florida’s first urgent care centers dedicated exclusively to orthopedic conditions.
3. In July, Winter Haven, Fla.-based Bond Clinic, a 90-provider physician group, was acquired by AdventHealth. Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based AdventHealth purchased the group’s 28-specialty assets and care sites located throughout Polk County. The deal brings the physician group under AdventHealth, which comprises more than 4,000 employed physicians and advanced practice providers.
