• Rate of patient falls in the ASC — 0.130 per 1000 admissions
• Rate of patient burns — 0.017 per 1000 admissions
• Rate of hospital transfers/admissions — 1.022 per 1000 admissions
• Rate of wrong site, side, patient, procedure, implant events — 0.030 per 1000 admissions
• Percentage of ASC admissions with antibiotics ordered who received antibiotics on time — 99 percent
• Percentage of ASC admissions with appropriate surgical site hair removal — 97 percent
• Percentage of eligible ASC patients with normothermia — 98 percent
• Percent of ASC cataract surgery patients with unplanned anterior vitrectomy — 0.69 percent
The second quarter data was collected from 1,460 ASCs — 937 multispecialty ASCs and 523 single specialty ASCs.
