Here are five observations:
1. Wisconsin ranked 11th in the report, which studies 42 measurements of healthcare access, quality, costs and outcomes. In the previous report, Wisconsin ranked seventh.
2. Wisconsin scored well in the percentage of adults, 19 years to 64 years, who are uninsured, and in the percentage of children with consistent care.
3. Although performing well overall, Wisconsin does not impress in its care for African American and Latino patients.
4. Other states are improving more rapidly than Wisconsin. Minnesota, Vermont, Hawaii and Massachusetts ranked highest in the report.
5. Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Mississippi ranked lowest in the report.
